General Information
Casa Marzocchi is a historic house (XVI sec.) that the owners have opened to the public, leaving the autentic antique fornitures just as these were, when their family bought all the property, two hundred years ago.
Casa Marzocchi is located in the top of Monterchi, so you can simply walk out and visit the local stores, restaurants and the local bar, but, inside, the garden with swimming pool, looks over towards the calm, peacefull hillside, so you have the best of both worlds.
Casa Marzocchi has been left exactly as when the owners lived there, including the laboratory of their eccentric grandfather and they'll take great joy in presenting to you.
Casa Marzocchi is set on two floors. On the first you'll find two big setting-rooms and one beautiful suite-bedroom with own bathroom, on the other side another double bedroom, with own bathroom. Both bedrooms overlook the typical tuscan countryside. On the second floor, you enter into a large living-room area and on the left hand side there are two bedrooms , one with a double bed, one with twin beds, each with its own bethroom.Down the hall way, there is another double bedroom with a nearby bathroom and there is a fully equipped kitchen. In front of the Kitchen, you'll find the tv.-room, with an antic piano.
Casa Marzocchi has a big garden in two floors and in the highest side, there is a romantic pool, under the civic tower.
Casa Marzocchi is for 8 up 14 people, but it is possible for bigger groups to add il Duetto (4 pax) that is an indipendent apartment, but in the same house.
Guests at Il Duetto and Casa Marzocchi have access to the large terraced garden of the Main house. The higher terrace is furnished with tables and chairs and is a pleasant place to sit out and enjoy the view.
A curious feature of the house is the chemistry laboratory set up in the early 20th century by Donatella and Simonetta Marzocchi's scientist grandfather. There is also an interesting library of books on various subjects, some dating back to the 17th century, which guests may consult on request.
