Le Gelosie might seem a peculiar name for an accommodation facility, but the choice is not so extravagant after all. This lovely bed and breakfast is the result of a flight of fancy of its young owner: he wanted to offer a sophisticated alternative for the cosmopolitan tourist.Le Gelosie was conceived to offer all mod cons to its guests, alongside with the utmost discretion.This small accommodation facility definitely represents something new and at the same time a challenge to the rest of theaccommodations offered by the town…That’s why it is located in the town centre. Le Gelosie is located inside an old palace completely renovated with real mastery, which overlooks Piazza Signorelli, in the town centre, one of the strategic and most lively spots in Cortona. From April to October breakfast is served under the scenographic loggias of the Teatro Signorelli (where some scenes of Roberto Benigni’s movie, La vita è bella, were filmed), enjoying a wonderful view of Piazza Luca Signorelli. This accommodation facility shows originality and personality and is absolutely one of a kind. Le Gelosie will be a must for those who are looking for something different and not very demanding. It is a comfortable place and is furnished in very good taste. Because of the number of rooms, we advise you book in advance.

There are four bedrooms, furnished with grace, perfectly in consonance with the setting, inspired by simple and “natural” choices. The interiors of the rooms seem to intensify the self-confidence of those used to travel.The furniture and all articles are the result of a careful brocantage, and a skilful manner in the use of the colours gives to the bedrooms a very personal touch. The whole is enriched with fascinating bed linen and fresh bath-towels and vigorous water-jets in the bathrooms.Each room is equipped with satellite TV, air conditioning, ADSL internet access, 24 hours a day, so that guests can connect using their laptops, download their e-mails and surf quickly the net with no extra payment.As already said from April to October guests will be able to have breakfast under the contiguous arcade of Teatro Signorelli enjoying a unique view of the square of the namesake theatre.  Location Description

Leonardo da Vinci” in Rome Fiumicino and “A.Vespucci” in Firenze Peretola. Once there, you can easily take a train or rent a car. With a shuttle train from the airports you get directly to the train station in Rome and Firenze, and then just follow the next directions. If you want to rent a car, once out of the airports, follow the directions for the A1 Firenze-Roma motorway, then follow the next directions.
By train: From your departing station, take the first train to Arezzo and then the first local train to Cortona-Camucia station.
By car: To reach Cortona driving on the Autostrada del Sole highway (A1) (both northbound and southbound), exit at the Valdichiana toll-gate and get on the Siena-Perugia speedway, direction Perugia. Get off the speedway at the Cortona-San Lorenzo exit. At the stop sign take a right turn and keep driving direction Cortona, drive past Camucia and follow signs for Cortona. Climbing up the hill, go along after driving past the Cortona town-limit sign, keep driving about 500 m and arrive in P.zza Mazzini, turn right into the Colonia gate, and after 200 m. (via Dardano n°6) on the left you find Le Gelosie.
